“It’s A Zen Thing”

Richard O’Connor Produces LEVEL 3 for American Zen

Richard O’Connor produced the first two albums for American Zen and is contracted to produce the next five albums.

Based upon the 8 Levels described in Buddhism of spiritual development, the 8 albums to be produced by American Zen are intended to show a spiritual development.

A tall order for rock stars from Southern California.

“I work on more than the sound of their music. I work on the message of each song. Each message has a unique voice. I produce songs so that the unique voice of each song can reveal itself. Groups like American Zen have a unique sound without me trying to create or imitate their sound on each song.” Richard pauses, “It’s a Zen thing.” courtesy of shaolincom.com

American Zen is an excellent local group from California who is dedicated to the path of enlightenment through music

There are many pages at Shaolin Communications dedicated to American Zen and The Coyote’s music, but this is THE BAND’S website where each member of the band gets to post their own pages with their own designs and their own words.

This will be a difficult website to keep anonymous as all the members tell their tales and air their ‘dirty band laundry.’

Because topics may include adult topics, drugs, and some violence, that probably actually happened to them — this site is best for persons over 14 years of age.

If you’re Mormon, don’t read these stories.

If you’re Catholic, you’ll love these stories.

If you’re Jewish, you’ll understand why Christians are confused.
